    Detection and treatment of anal precancers can prevent anal cancer. Despite anal cancer being rare in the general population, anal cancer is common in certain populations including people with HIV, history of vulvar HSIL and cancer, and solid organ transplant recipients. We will review who and how to screen for anal cancer and what happens when someone has an abnormal screening test.
