March 10, 2020—As announced last week, the ASCCP Board of Directors has been closely watching the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation. Out of an abundance of caution, a mission to put public health concerns first, and the need to support our registrants who are restricted from travel, ASCCP has decided that the 2020 ASCCP Scientific Meeting originally scheduled to be held in Orlando, FL on March 31 - April 3 will transition to be an online virtual conference.
While we would love to proceed with the live 2020 ASCCP Scientific Meeting in Orlando, we recognize that the ability to travel has become increasingly challenging. After discussing this challenge with a number of members, we recognized the need to continue to bring this important scientific content and CME/CE credits to our registrants. For this reason, ASCCP 2020 is not cancelled, but rather will transition to online.
Please do not travel to Orlando, FL for the ASCCP Scientific Meeting. More details will come out shortly, as we are reviewing all options (live vs on-demand virtual) and will be announcing this information soon. We look forward to sharing this year's great content, including the launch of the ASCCP Risk Based Management Consensus Guidelines, with you this spring. Please stay tuned to www.asccp.org for ongoing updates. Thank you for your patience and flexibility during this unique time.
