2019 Trainee Research Award

The ASCCP is offering an award for research in the field of lower genital tract disease. The purpose of this award is to provide seed funding to junior investigators to advance knowledge in the field of cervical, vaginal, vulvar or HPV disease and to present their research at the 2019 ASCCP Annual Meeting.
The applicant must be within a health-related graduate or post-graduate training program (MD, NP, CNM, PA, PhD or Masters) at the time the application is submitted.
The application must include (4) required components:
■ A scientific research proposal that is no more than 3 pages that includes the following: Hypothesis, Specific Aims, Background and Significance, Study Design, and References.
■ A research budget (no more than one page)
■ Curriculum vitae
■ Letter of support from program director, departmental chair, or laboratory director

One award will be given in the amount of $5,000. The award is meant to provide support for research materials. The awardee will receive complimentary registration to the 2019 ASCCP Annual Meeting on April 3-7, 2019 in Atlanta, Georgia where the awardee will present their research.
It is expected that any paper drafted as a result of this award will be submitted first for consideration for publication to The Journal of Lower Genital Tract Disease.
