Technical Help for the Vulvovaginal Diseases Pre and Post Tests

The ASCCP Clinical Approach to Vulvovaginal Disease course has been designed to serve those licensed clinicians (e.g., gynecologists, primary care physicians, advanced practice clinicians, residents in obstetrics-gynecology and family practice, etc.) who currently treat or diagnosis women with vulvar disease and who are intermediate to advanced in their level of medical knowledge and treatment of vulvar and vaginal diseases.

Upon completion of this course, participants will:

  • Explore the current knowledge of vulvar and vaginal conditions (Medical Knowledge)
  • Recognize the normal and abnormal anatomy of the vulva and vagina (Medical Knowledge)
  • Gain awareness of the pathophysiology, histologic appearance, and treatment of benign and malignant vulvar and vaginal conditions (Medical Knowledge, Practice-based Learning and Improvement)
  • Understand the diagnosis and management of vaginitis (Medical Knowledge, Practice-based Learning and Improvement)
  • Recognize and treat resistant vulvovaginitis (Medical Knowledge, Practice-based Learning and Improvement)
  • Understand the diagnosis and management of vulvar pain (Medical Knowledge, Practice-based Learning and Improvement, Systems-based Practice)
  • Gain insight into the non-neoplastic epithelial conditions of the vulva (Medical Knowledge)
  • Understand the biology, epidemiology and natural history of HPV and how they relate to screening, triage and treatment of preinvasive and invasive neoplasia of the lower genital tract (Medical Knowledge)
  • Assess practice populations to identify adolescent, middle reproductive age and postmenopausal women at risk for the various vulvovaginal diseases (Medical Knowledge, Practice-based Learning and Improvement)
  • Have knowledge on treatment of pruritic conditions of the vulva (Medical Knowledge)
  • Review various surgical procedures for vulvar diseases (Medical Knowledge)
