| HOTEL REGISTRATION ASCCP has reserved a block of sleeping rooms for the delegation at the Hyatt Regency Bethesda. The group discount rate is $179/night single or double occupancy. To reserve your room, please call the hotel at (301) 657-1234 or (800) 233-1234 and reference the ASCCP meeting to obtain the discount. To obtain the discounted rate, please reserve your room by August 17, 2006. The hotel is located one block from the Bethesda Metro station (a station of the Washington DC Metro system) and boarding the Red line train at this station will take you to the NIH Medical Center campus where the conference is being held. As of February 2006, Metro fares for the trip between the hotel and the NIH campus average $1.35/ride with an average transportation time of 2 minutes. The Hyatt Regency Bethesda is also accessible by Metro from the Ronald Reagan National Airport, with an average fare of $3.90 and a transportation time of 37 minutes. Bethesda is home to a number of vibrant restaurants and shops, many of which are within walking distance of the hotel. Metro service and taxicabs can also provide ready access to Washington’s premier sight-seeing spots such as the Smithsonian Institution, Federal monuments, Union Station, Chinatown, etc. |
