This ASCCP postgraduate course best serves those licensed physicians and advanced practice clinicians who are intermediate to advanced in their level of the knowledge and treatment of vulvar, vaginal, and cervical diseases. It is designed for those clinicians who treat patients with persistent or recurrent vulvovaginal conditions such as recurrent candidiasis, lichen sclerosus, introital dyspareunia, recurrent human papillomavirus (HPV) or herpes virus lesions, as well as those who manage women with VIN or recurrent Pap abnormalities. This course reflects the current status of clinical knowledge in lower genital tract diagnoses and treatment, including the recent Consensus Guidelines for the Management of Women with Abnormal Cervical Cancer Screening Tests and the Management of Women with Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia or Adenocarcinoma In-situ. This course also addresses HPV research, management and education including the FDA-approved HPV vaccines. It is designed to improve competencies in medical knowledge, practice-based learning, patient care, and systems-based practice.
