High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA)

The ASCCP High Resolution Anoscopy (HRA) course is designed for physicians and advanced practice clinicians who are participating in the health  care of patients at increased risk for anal cancer including MSM, men and women with HIV disease, and women with HPV-associated lower genital tract disease. This course is appropriate for health care providers in many fields, including family practice, internal medicine and infectious disease, gastroenterology, general surgery, colo-rectal surgery, gynecology, and pathology. Those with prior colposcopy experience and those interested in the didactic and procedural training specific to HPV-associated anal disease and HRA will benefit from this course.

The HRA course is designed for those who have basic proficiency in the practice of colposcopy.

Colposcopy Add-On

The faculty of the HRA course strongly recommend that anyone having no (or limited) colposcopy or high-resolution anoscopy experience attend the Colposcopy Add-on course.

The Colposcopy Add-On course and the special non-CME workshop for HRA course participants on Wednesday afternoon on the basics of “How to Use a Colposcope” are available immediately prior to the beginning of each HRA course as add-on learning for HRA participants. Everyone is encouraged to attend the Colposcopy Add-On course either as an introductory or refresher course.

Begins Wednesday, 7:00am. Ends Thursday morning. The HRA course starts later on Thursday morning.
