Below is a listing of the core ASCCP Committees and their primary function:


Assessment

Oversees and coordinates development, update, and implementation of on-line examinations



Awards

Solicit, review, and submit to the Board of Directors candidates for Society Awards



Development

Explore grants that can be used to help the society achieve its mission and maintain 

 



Education

Develop and promote educational activities for the Society



Ethics

Evaluate and investigate all complaints within the purview of the ASCCP Code of Ethics



Finance

Review the financing of the Society and make recommendations to the membership



Image Archive Task Force

Opens, adds to, and maintains the image archive for members’ use



International Education and Humanitarian Outreach

Continue educational efforts to underserved areas nationally and internationally



Membership

Responsible for upholding the membership standards set by the bylaws



Nominating

Propose a slate of candidates for officers of the Society and for membership on the Board of Directors



Pathology

Provide pathology review service to members



Practice

Oversee 2012 Consensus Conference to develop new practice guidelines augmenting 2001 and 2006 Consensus Conference Recommendations



Special Populations

Complete PICSM follow up for adolescents and continue dialogue with Symposium delegates and organizations as to additional ideas for collaboration and educational outreach
